Beautifying sustainability: ROSE welcomes Chromavis as its latest client

Feb 26, 2025

In this article, you will find out:

  • The specific sustainability challenges faced by the beauty industry

  • How Chromavis is addressing these challenges

  • How they are leveraging ROSE for both compliance and improvement

  • The current status of the project and how the platform will be used daily

ROSE is excited to share that Chromavis, a major player in beauty product development and manufacturing, has chosen to adopt the ROSE platform. This collaboration is a key step as Chromavis advances its efforts to align with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and enhance its sustainability on all fronts.

About Chromavis

Headquartered in Offanengo, Italy, Chromavis operates production sites in Italy, Poland, and Brazil. As part of the Fareva Group, the company manages every stage of beauty product creation, from R&D and formula development to assembly and finalization. While Chromavis has already taken steps toward more sustainable practices—such as reducing its reliance on palm oil and rethinking packaging—it is leveraging the CSRD framework to set and pursue even more ambitious environmental and social goals.

Why ROSE?

By implementing the ROSE platform, Chromavis aims to support its sustainability roadmap with the best available technology. Our internal team of sustainability experts will assist Chromavis at every stage of the project, including conducting a Double Materiality Assessment (DMA), measuring its carbon footprint, and producing its CSRD report.

The platform allows Chromavis to organize vast amounts of data from dispersed sources and enable stakeholders to collaborate seamlessly on a centralized sustainability roadmap. This roadmap, divided into actions and individual tasks assigned to a specific owner, will ensure streamlined execution across teams.

Leadership-driven change

The project has the full backing of Chromavis’ Leadership team, reflecting its strategic importance at the executive level. Leadership is committed to achieving various sustainability goals, such as:

  • Becoming fully compliant with CSRD requirements.

  • Strengthening responsible sourcing of materials, including ensuring that palm oil is RSPO-certified and mica aligns with Responsible Mica Initiative standards.

  • Reducing the company’s environmental footprint through innovative packaging and waste management practices.

  • Transitioning to 100% renewable energy for direct emissions by 2027 and significantly reducing water consumption through advanced conservation methods.

Tackling industry-specific challenges

The beauty industry faces unique sustainability challenges. It operates in a globalized market with a complex value chain, creating risks related to human rights, the extraction and use of high-impact raw materials like palm oil and mica, reliance on plastics, and the need for robust recycling and waste management solutions. By leveraging ROSE’s platform, Chromavis is committed to improving transparency and achieving measurable progress on all these fronts.

What’s next?

Through this partnership, ROSE and Chromavis are pushing the boundaries of what sustainability can mean in the beauty sector. As Chromavis continues to act on its commitments, this collaboration is poised to set an industry standard for how tech can empower ambitious sustainability policies.
